From the bottom of Brynjar Helgason’s (Me, The Slumbering Napoleon) heart, out crawled the soft and fragile songs on Music From Soul. The simple and quiet arrangements for drums, bass and guitar are similar to those of Low or Yo La Tengo, but Brynjar spaces the music with woodwind and brass. Dark but warm at the same time, the album fits perfectly on a dark winter evening.
